#59.  Mary's Centennial Star, March 2005 - 84" x 84".  Another star cluster.  This one for the Jenks America Great American Quilt Show--Chamber of Commerce raffle quilt. Drawing to be held in July, 2005.  Contact Jenks, Oklahoma, Chamber of Commerce for tickets.  This one uses Mary's fabrics from her line "Watercolor Etchings" with P&B. 

#60.  Baby Nickels I, March, 2005 - 36" x 42".  This was inspired by needing a good pattern, quick and easy, baby size, using nickel squares (5").  It's easily made in a day.  Really good when that baby arrives unexpectedly early!  It takes 80 nickels and is "easy-breezy".  It's a simple 9 patch pattern.  So far I've made FIVE.  And I have two more to go.  Pattern available on the pattern page, of course.  Here's the first one, in pastels.

#61 & #62.  Baby Nickels II, April, 2005 - 36" x 42".  Actually there are 2 of these identical.  They are for two little toddler brothers.  I used the brightest nickels I could find for these.  Mostly Laurel Burch fabrics and clown fish (Nemo) on the back of both.

#63 & #64.  Baby Nickels III, April, 2005 - 36" x 42".  There are also 2 identical quilts like this one.  One is for #2 grandson, and the other for his brother, #4 grandson.  I did this one in an organized fashion using "fussy"-cut nickels from a novelty fabric that has a doggy jazz band on it (see close-up), with coordinating fabrics cut into nickels--guitars, music notes, sheet music, etc., with guitar fabric on the backs.  These are for birthday presents.  I try to make them new quilts every OTHER year for their birthdays.  The next two (for the other 2 grandsons) will be fussy-cuts also, only dragons and flame fabrics (#1 GS picked out the fabrics).

#65 & #66.  The next two, identical, May 2005.  Here it is in the fabrics that #1GS selected (dragons and flames).
