Ok,
gang, got a cup of coffee ready? Hope these JPEG's didn't take too
long for you to download. I'll try to provide a picture and
description of each quilt, approximate date and pertinent and "unpertinent"
info with each. Also, let me remind you that all my stuff is
copyrighted and I can get really cranky if I find anyone selling or
misusing my designs (and so can my attorney).

#69. T-Shirt
Quilt, August, 2005 - 110" x 120". A commissioned quilt in navy
and gold. Great fun! The client's son graduated from Notre Dame and
had collected t-shirts from prep school thru college. I think I started
with around 48 t-shirts. What I couldn't fit on the top, (9 others I
think) I centered on the backing on the reverse side. The shirts were cut
down to random sizes and positioned in random order. "Shadowing"
with navy blue was added to each shirt and then assembled, with great
difficulty, in no set size of rows. Small "fill-in" blocks were
some that were printed off from the internet onto pretreated fabric.
Excellent meandering machine quilting by Charles Odle, Hillside Stitches, Pryor,
Okla. I'm pleased with the floating effect that the shadowing creates.

Mary's Pastel Top, Sept., 2005 - Throw Size. Mary does a lot of
lectures and has been doing them for a long time. Some of her
samples for her lectures need to be updated from time to time. This was a
split 9-patch top for her "Stashbusters" presentation. It
contains batik fabrics and the light pastel fabrics are from Mary's
"Watercolor Etchings" fabric line for P&B.

Mary's Christmas Top, Sept., 2005 - Throw Size. Another top for Mary
Covey, utilizing the split 9-patch block. This one is done in Christmas
colors, reds and greens with cream backgrounds.

Another T-shirt quilt, Sept, 2005 - 96 x 100. Another commissioned t-shirt
quilt, in chambray blue and black. My client had collected her sons
t-shirts from his ministries and some from teenage years. She had begun
the process, but only got as far as cutting out the logos and buying the
fabric. That was several years ago, so she was grateful to find someone to
get it done. This time I didn't use a random setting. I used a
straight vertical row setting. Once again, machine quilting by Charles
Odle, Hillside Stitches, Pryor, Oklahoma.

The "Little Sooner" rag quilt, Oct, 2005 - 36" x 36".
A commissioned rag quilt just for my client's little granddaughter who likes to
go to the OU games with her daddy. This was fun and only took about 3 hrs
from start to finish! Flannel with the words "little sooner"
machine embroidered on the blocks by my client. Just what she'll need to
cover with at the games.
