You May Want to Go Get Yours

Ok, gang, got a cup of coffee ready?  Hope these JPEG's didn't take too long for you to download.  I'll try to provide a picture and description of each quilt, approximate date and pertinent and "unpertinent" info with each.  Also, let me remind you that all my stuff is copyrighted and I can get really cranky if I find anyone selling or misusing my designs (and so can my attorney).

#89.  Twisted Mystery Quilt #3- June, 2007 - The Quilt Shoppe Forum hosts an annual "twisted mystery" swap, hosted by Lynn Wingard.  Here's how it works:  Each person gathers up enough coordinating fabrics that she would like to have in a quilt made for herself, and sends it to Lynn--who in turn sends each envelope of fabrics to a different participant.  No one but Lynn knows whose envelope is sent to whom.  When a participant receives her envelope, she makes a lap-size quilt with the contents she receives.  No one knows whose quilt they are making and/or making for them in return.  Kinda twisted, huh?  Anyway at the end of the allotted time, finished quilts are returned to their original owner and everyone's mystery is solved.  Here's the quilt I made for, as it turns out, Lynn herself!

Lynn supplied me with some very nice Laurel Burch fabrics.  I used a 4-patch frenzy style (see following quilts).

Here's the quilt that Debbie McDaniel made for me using the 30's fabrics I supplied:  (very soft and snuggly)

It was great fun to participate again.  At this date, we are in the process of sending in our fabrics to Lynn for Twisted Mystery #4!

#90. Decisions/Decisions Red/Blue - July, 2007 - This pattern is in my book, "Slash Your Stash".  This top is a smaller version than the big one in the book.  I wish I had a finished picture and close-up of the machine quilting done by Le Ann Weaver at .  She did a super job.

#91.  Austin's 4-Patch Frenzy - Fall, 2007 - The first of five quilts using this fun technique.  Every other year I try to make new quilts for my grandchildren (they grow out of them so quickly). Basically what you are doing is working with only one fabric.  For example, here's the fabric, the only fabric, used on Austin's quilt:

Austin's fabric

Here's Austin's quilt after piecing using this "kaleidoscope" technique:

#92.  Kenny's 4-Patch Frenzy - Fall, 2007 - Here's the 2nd of the 5 quilts using only one fabric--first the fabric (kinda looks like lizard salad, huh?), and then the result.

Voila!  (lizards in a blender, lol)

#93.  Sharon's 4-Patch Frenzy - Fall, 2007 - The 3rd of 5 quilts using this technique.  The fabric first, and then the quilt.

(Maybe Sharon's should be called Mickey in a Blender)

(I'll post pictures of the other 2 quilts in the near future, as this is enough for you to have to download for now.)

These are just some of many, of course.  We will be adding more as time goes by, so check back often.  Visit the many gallery archives below.  Thanks for your time!!
