You May Want to Go Get Yours

Ok, gang, got a cup of coffee ready?  Hope these JPEG's didn't take too long for you to download.  I'll try to provide a picture and description of each quilt, approximate date and pertinent and "unpertinent" info with each.  Also, let me remind you that all my stuff is copyrighted and I can get really cranky if I find anyone selling or misusing my designs (and so can my attorney).

Gallery 7:

#31.  Thirteen Flowers - This was a long time in the making.  Literally.  Took quite a while to get it finally designed, tested, and physically made.  It is comprised of 13 different pieced flowers blocks.  The diamond-shaped borders look complicated, but are not in the least.  The background and borders are all made using half-square triangles, strategically placed and turned to give that effect of solid borders.  It's not quilted yet (plan to do it by hand) and will be intricately done.  I have already marked feather-type vines in the borders.  It will have double cross-hatched background quilting also.  I'm itching to quilt it, but don't know where to do this since it is king size.  So it may be a while before it gets completed.  Available on the pattern page.

#32.  Blake's Nite-Nite Express - This is the last of the grandsons' quilts.  Each one now has his own version of the choo-choo quilt.  I think 4 of them is enough, don't you?  This one was for the oldest (6) and I used a dark, night-time sky instead of a bright daytime blue sky.  I was also pressed for time to make it by his birthday, so I just added the borders instead of piecing the borders this time.  Also available on the pattern page.

#33.  Bird Hunting - Here's a neat little pattern.  Bird-themed blocks.  Available on the pattern page.  It has Flying Geese, Birds in the Air, Hovering Hawks, and others, you get the idea.  Used Moda marble dots fabric and it sure made it colorful.  Plan to have it machine quilted with a cloud-like pattern.

#34.  Another Nite-Nite Baby Express - this one was done as a sample quilt for LeAnn Weaver's Just Quilt It! quilt store in Tulsa.  Used her realistic grass fabric and other fabrics she carries in her store.  I keep saying this is the last one, don't I?
