I've been working with Kimberly, making some of her tops for her retail samples. These blocks are gorgeous! The colors are so vibrant and "huggable"! Be sure to check out her website for these wonderful vintage storybook blocks and kits.
Loose Change News:
Well, last month we were informed that "Loose Change" has gone into its 3rd printing already! This is wonderful news! And work has already begun on the sequel "Loose Change II". So be on the lookout for that sometime in the fall of 2010.
A big THANK YOU to the ladies at the Piecemakers guild in Bartlesville, Okla., for having our trunk show program last month! Le Ann & I enjoyed ourselves immensely!
In The Works:
Well........
There's not much in the works this month. May 1 was not a good day around here. We had too much rain in Oklahoma. In fact, we had 22 days of rain without a break. This was too much water for the north half of my house to withhold. So, now I'm actually LIVING in my living room. Everything from the sewing/computer studio had to be moved into the main room. The carpenters are working to repair the damages, and they will be pouring concrete to raise the floor soon hopefully.
Plus, I've taken on the job of Interim Library Director for our town of Inola. This is cutting into my quilting big time! I can usually be found late at night at my sewing machine. Once the initial adjustment is made though, I'm sure I can work out the juggling act of work vs. play soon.
This is the last episode in the "Bedazzled Mystery" free project this month. We've been getting some very nice and colorful pictures of participants' progress! Some of them are downright stunning!
I'm not sure if or when I'll get to designing the next free project. This may take more than a month to accomplish. And I'm still waiting to hear from some of you about your ideas for what you would like to see offered. What kind of projects do you enjoy? Mysteries? Quick scrappy quilts? Small quilts?
