Numerous antique quilts were hung in the foyer on display. There was a
special display of antique quilts from Melinda Bennett's family
collection. Some over 100 years old.
This was the "opportunity" quilt that was won by Wilma Harris. Piecing by yours truly, and machine quilted by Mary M.
Covey. The majority of the fabrics in it were from Mary's line
"Watercolor Etchings" for P&B Textiles.

My entry. The "Lonely Hearts" quilt. It won first prize in
the challenge hosted by Mary and P&B. (Pattern available on the
pattern page here, of course!) The ribbons awarded were very
nice!
I must give credit to my friend, Donna Titsworth, Inola, Oklahoma, on her
excellent machine quilting.
This is an entry done by another friend, Christa Knecht. The pattern and
patternmaker is "Critters Dancin' in the Moonlight" by Brandywine
Design. All this was hand
appliqué.
And another entry by another friend, Jackie Bush. It's a "Judy Did
It!" design. Isn't it marvelous?
This is the entry by Karen Price, Tulsa. It received the Best of Show
Award, and deservingly so! Beautiful appliqué work.
One of the many vendors this year was our friend, Darcy Ashton, of Ashton
Publications. She has a new pattern book out called "Aquatic
Creatures--Fish, Frogs, Turtles, & Toads". The 2 quilts on the
backdrop are from that book. (Available soon from Eagle
Pattern Depot).
Altogether it was a very successful and delightful show!
